Do It Right, or Don't Do It

*****

One blog for 3 subjects (music, photography, and travel) works fine for my private use. It does not work for commercial use. And, to make blogging worth doing I need to try to turn them commercial. So, as of today, Better World Media does not exist. In place of "BWM" I will now post on my old blogs, or not at all. Being a slow learner is not fun. But, at least I can learn.

My primary blogs sites are as follows:
Better World Photography: http://bwp702.blogspot.com/
Better World Travel: https://bwt702.blogspot.com/
Better World Music: https://bwm702.blogspot.com/

I have been known to sometimes blog about other subjects on BWM. That will also change. I will post about my secondary blogs at a later date if I decide to bring them up to date.

Getting settled in at my new home has been quiet a chore, but I am slowly getting there. The only two chores remaining, I think, is to get my car tagged in Nevada, and for me to get a Nevada driver's license. I am, however considering taking my car back to Oklahoma to sell. And, I still want to shop for a place where I can live by myself. I could not ask for a better roommate, but I do miss my solitude.

Meanwhile, yesterday was the First Friday Arts Festival, and I missed it. But, there is always the First Friday of next month. I'm pooped, and I am relishing every moment I can set at home and relax. I have however had a photo walk through a small portion of Seven Hills Trail, hiked the City View Trail, did a short photo walk through Cornerstone Park, a visit to Anthem Hills and eaten out more times since my arrival on May 1 than I did in my entire 3 years in Oklahoma.

I can't commit to how often I will eat out, but after a few days of rest I will try to settle into no more than a weekly planned photo outing. I knew when I moved here that there would be plenty of things for me to do, but what I am finding is surprising me. I cannot do it all.

I am still not sure how to handle my blog situation. I do know that I cannot work on every project I have going every day. It is impossible. So, there may be times when it appears that all of my blogs have been abandoned. Well, we will see.

Welcome to Better World Music, Las Vegas, Nevada

The relocation is complete. We are now at home in Las Vegas once again. This will be "home base" for the foreseeable future. I expect a slow start because there is still work to do just to get settled in.

I do hope to attend an open mic event this coming Monday at Human Experience, Las Vegas. "Human Experience" is a #community organization that hosts open mic #events promoting "DJ's", #musicians, spoken word and visual #artists. Through our community and events we increase awareness of #local #Las #Vegas non-profit charity groups through #food/clothing drives & connections to #volunteer opportunities.

Practice Progressions

*****

I do a lot of finger picking. I also have arthritis. Because of stiff fingers I find it necessary to start my music practice sessions with several minutes of finger picking and chord progression exploration. The following tunes are not complete, but they are my normal warm up activities. Someday I plan to write lyrics to go with these chords, but for now I use them the way they look here by experimenting with different versions of time and chord patterns.
